BONHAM HIGH SCHOOL

Kimber Swanson is a new teacher for the 2022-23 School Year at Bonham ISD. She will be teaching Theatre and Performing Arts at LH Rather and Bonham High School.

Kimber Swanson has been teaching and working with school systems in a professional or volunteer capacity for over 10 years. She comes to Bonham ISD from the state of Alabama where she taught TV Production; Photography; Studio Operations; Advanced Production; Writing, Producing and Performing; Intro to Arts; and Business and Marketing.

Kimber Swanson is the proud wife of a retired Army Aviator. They relocated from Ozark, Alabama, to pursue his career as a corporate pilot. She has three grown children  that still go to school or work in Alabama. Her two daughters are in school at Auburn University and her son is a graduate of Auburn and working on his career. Kimber and her husband have two mini-Aussies (Tango and Foxy).

Hi! I am Kimber Swanson. I am a self-confessed performance junkie! I love good stories! Whether it’s a great book, an exciting movie, or just sitting with friends and learning of their experiences, stories shape our lives and bond us together. Everyone has a story and I am passionate about collecting, remembering and documenting these stories.

My story has brought me to Bonham, Texas. I am currently learning the traditions and people of this great community as I renovate one of Bonham’s historical homes. I  am committed to learning about the great state of Texas, while I enjoy life with my pilot husband and two mini-aussies (Tango and Foxy). I am the proud mother of three grown children that still live in Alabama. My two daughters are completing their academic studies at Auburn University, and my son is starting his career after graduating in Accounting from Auburn University. We are a WAR EAGLE family, and enjoy cheering our Tigers to victory through all the seasons.

In my free time, I love to travel and explore. I document my new experiences through photography and video journaling. One day, I hope to place all these experiences in a fictional novel. So be prepared, meeting me is adding to my story and you might recognize yourself in one of my future characters!
