I consider myself to be a lifelong learner! I love learning new things, so professional development is always enjoyable to me. I try to attend the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) Conference every year.
I started teaching in August 2010. I have taught 4th grade math and reading, 3rd grade ESL self-contained, K-4th grade Writing Lab, and 6th grade Reading at 3 different districts. I have been an Elementary and Middle School Counselor for 4 years. This is my second year working for BISD. I am so excited to be working at BHS as the Social/Emotional Counselor.
I have been married to my husband, Eric, for 12 years. We have 2 sons, Grady (4th grade) and Gentry (2nd grade). All 4 of us are PROUD PURPLE WARRIORS! We also have a sweet dachshund name Demi.
I enjoy working out at the gym every morning at 5. I am also very involved in my church and love serving others in any capacity! My family loves the Dallas Mavericks and we have season tickets this year! My two sons keep me very busy with their sports and schedules, so I enjoy watching them do what they love!
