I began teaching in the Fall of 1999 – just in time to watch the new millennium! I previously taught at Campbell High School, Trenton High School and Friona High School.
I have also sponsored Student Council, junior high cheerleading, Honor Society, math clubs and every grade level from sixth to twelth grade.
My Philosophy on teaching mathematics:
“I believe my enthusiasm for mathematics and my drive to present material can engage and motivate students. My patience, organization and fundamental belief in my students create a supportive environment in which to build confidence and mathematical ability. In all of this, I believe I can engage students in mathematics and enable them to experience it as a useful, creative and sense-making activity.”
I have a daughter, Kasi (24). She graduated from Bonham HS in 2015 as Valedictorian!! Kasi obtained her Masters Degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology at SMU! She is now working in the Medical Research field!
