This will be my 1st year at Bonham High School and my 19th year in education. In addition to being the Head Girls Basketball Coach, I also facilitating the Warrior Academy Program here at the High School.
I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. I attended NorthWest Missouri State University where I earned a degree in Social Science. After my time at NorthWest, I headed south, to Austin, Texas. It was in Austin that I met my wife and our first daughter was born. In my previous 18 years before coming to Bonham, I have been an assistant coach at several schools (Frisco Independence, Allen, Muenster and Colleyville Heritage). I have experiecnce as a head coach at the following schools: Taylor, TX, Kemp, TX, Belleview, FL and Castleberry, TX. I have been married for 23 years to my beautiful wife, Soravy, who is also a teacher. We have two beautiful daughters - Tehya (will be a freshman at William Jewell College) and Kalee (will be a freshman at Frisco Independence)
I feel very blessed to be here at Bonham and honored to be the head girls basketball coach. I belive that the coaching staff and I have the honor of working with incredible young women here in Bonham. I look forward to getting to know everyone and helping these young women becoming a vital member of society. I know that athletics plays an important role in shaping the character of a person and I (and my staff) take it very seriously.
I am here to help prepare these women for whatever their future my hold after high school. Our program has set high standards for both our players and coaches. I believe that my role is more than just x’s and o’s on the basketball floor, our student/athletes need to be someone that has strong character. I am looking forward to a great year!!
